It does not deteriorate, burst or break, despite years of exposure to weather, extreme temperature or chemicals. UV- AND WEATHER-RESISTANT Gore Tenara Sewing Thread is made from expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTEF), a material completely resistant to environmental elements, including harmful UV rays and extreme temperature variations. CHEMICAL-RESISTANT ePTEF fibers are unaffected by aggressive chemicals, making GORE TENARA Sewing Thread ideal for manufactured products that are exposed to harsh detergents, its resistance to cleaning solutions – even those including bleach – means that GORE TENARA Sewing Thread stands up remarkably well to repeated cleanings.
